    I agree with the poster who travels to Paris 2x a year. I am there every 3 months and you can find inexpensive items. Part of the fun is the hunt! You will find scarves which are light and easy to pack similar and items. If you going to buy several at once you can often negotiate the price.

no, you MUST NOT buy things to "the guys" under the Eiffel tower, they are in France illegally, they sell dangerous items for children because they break easily, it is illegal and immoral to buy from them, they prevent honest workers to work and they earn 300E a day, giving it to the mafia, the police spend their time chasing them. You should always buy souvenirs in a shop, you should find Eiffel towers for 5, 6euros.

I had been to Paris 5 years ago. It is probably better to get them online. The souvenirs down in Paris are probably going to be about 4 to 5 Euro but the cheaper ones go for about 2 to 3 Euro.
