What do things cost in paris?

A pint on Happy Hour in Paris is about 5€ regular one 7-8€ it's so expensive... Better to party in someones place!!! It changes outta Paris... you can get half price on everything...

I will give you the Timecop (1994 movie) answer: A lot. More than you'd like to spend. Less than too much. Almost everything in Paris is more expensive than in the UK. OTOH, you can save money by NOT eating out every meal. Few French ppl do. You can get delicious groceries for much less than eating out and many of these grocery items are considered gourmet at home. The cheapest groceries/home furnishings/clothes are at the hypermarkets like Auchan. You wouldn't believe it, the mom and pop shops charge 300% of Auchan's prices. The downside of Auchan is that most stores are in the suburbs (to save on rent). If you do eat out, look at the menu with prices posted at the front door/window (must be posted according to French law). Also, "une carafe d'eau" (a carafe of cold tap water) MUST be provided free of charge to you if you ask (and if you are ordering food).

Depends on where you go. If you want a coffee and you're near one of the big tourist locations, you can expect to pay a LOT, especially if you are sitting outside. But if you go around the corner and a hundred metres or so down a side street, prices could be very different.
