Have France banned the Burqa?

France: do you like the idea that they banned the muslim burqa?

    I think it's good AND bad that they banned the burqa. For example, I think it's good because imagine not being able to see someone's face in public! I mean they could be anybody - a stalker pretending to be a Muslim woman lol. I think it's also bad because everyone has their own beliefs and should feel free to express themselves, however there is nothing in the Quran that says that women must cover their face. So I'm going to have to agree with the idea that they banned the burqa. I wouldn't like it if they banned the hijab though, because the hijab is fine.

This is Central Florida, USA. I find it difficult to ban completely the use of the burqa. However, for financial dealings and for important business or civil transactions, I do feel that the ban is necessary. Many, if not most banks in this area require the customers to remove all sun glasses and hats or caps..

Banning the Burka is the same and banning people from speaking, from expressing. Muslim women are being used as a political popularity chess game, to win votes and to distract the voters from more important issues.

I think the idea is bad and good. Bad because everyone should be able to wear what they want, but good because in a way the burqa belittles women. It's just my opinion...
