Which Italian Bistros can you recommend?

Could you recommend some restaurants/bistros in Paris, plz not the ones a tourist would go to!?

  • Answer:

La Methode at 2 rue Descartes in 5th arrondissement is my favorite little place. Very friendly, an excellant traditional menu, interesting daily specials. Very modestly priced. Le Comptoir du Panthéon at 5 rue Soufflot (5th) is only a few steps from the Pantheom but filled with local people. Classic, simple food, at not outrageous prices (Entrecôte grillée 14€). La Maison de la Lozère at 4 rue Hautefeuille (6th) does the food of the Lozère region including the best aligot (a dish of mashed potatoes with cantal cheese) in Paris. The Restaurant Le Coupe Chou at 9 rue de Lanneau (5th) is a wonderfully romantic place. http://www.lecoupechou.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=17d8ae5ee71ea0e209cf3313d06d8e58

There is this place called The Copper Kettle right across from The Disney Store on Avenue des Champs- Élysées (not a touristy restaurant, I promise. My friend from France took me.) It is a little spendy but TOTALLY worth it!
