What are some good stores to shop at in Paris France?

Galleries Lafayette is really nice and my husband and I both got nice coats there.

you habe to come and cheack for yourself, there are many alot expensive like chaner and yves saint laurent but then you have rue de rivoli that has cheaper stores like sara H+M and mango etc.

The only store that I can remember going to in 2001, was the H&M store at the Galerie Marchande Passage Provence (96 rue Provence) in Paris. I bought a couple of Braxton jeans. The store is a medium priced to high end department store. Or you can go to the C&A store at 49, Boulevard Haussman in Paris. They have good quality clothes and very competitive prices. But please keep in mind, there are hundreds of little fashion boutiques that are extremely reasonably priced. Plus you can find one-of-a-kind clothing from the locals. ********* PS: Yes, Cronos is correct about H&M and C&M being chain department stores. But you were looking for something that is not expensive. But if you go through Printemps and Layfeyette, just by walking around in those beautifully, luxurious and extravagantly built shopping buildings filled with designer and couture clothing, you would go broke $$$$. The retailers have to pay their rent there. Stick with the little neighbor boutiques to find something unique for yourself and friends or shop at the department stores. Just go, and use the advertising there to assist you. Printemps is nice and easy to find, but what if my memory is skewed? Trust yourself, read through the paper, find the things you're interested in, and enjoy! A large part of the happiness you derive will be from 'discovery', so go discover! C'mon, you know that's the best route anyway, who wants pre-digested "safe" opinions when traveling? Besides, you may discover the perfect little _____ at a small shop not far from Notre Dame or Montparnasse that sold you this exquisite???? for only XXX Euros!
