Answer:
My favorite little, inexpensive Parisian hotel is the St. Andre des Arts. I've been staying there on trips to Paris for over 30 years. Its at 66, Rue St André des Arts in the 6th arrondissement. The location is as perfect as it gets and the price of 89 euros for a double with en-suite facilities, breakfast and taxes included is very reasonable. They don't have an Internet presence but you can either phone (Tel 01 43 26 96 16), fax (01 43 29 73 34) or e-mail ([email protected]) Now understand this is NOT the Holiday Inn in Omaha. There's no elevator, no minibar, no TV, no room service, fitness club, or swimming pool. People who think those sort of things are absolute necessities will hate it. But I love it, and everyone who I know personally and have sent there loves it.

Log onto www.tripadvisor.com. Search for Paris, France. Click on "hotels". You will see 1765 hotels ranked by people's reviews. You can read everyone's opinions of their stay at that particular hotel. We are going to Paris the end of September and after much research, we chose Hotel de la Motte Picquet (#26). I did find that you will usually get a better deal booking directly through the hotel. If you are interested in ths one, this is their website: http://www.paris-hotel-mottepicquet.com/new_site/en_hotel.htm Trip advisor is also a great site when you click on "Things to do". They again are ranked by people's favorites. Enjoy Paris!
