Answer:
Contrary to AEther Novus' comment, the Ouija board really does work, and it is not always the harmless fun Parker Brothers makes it out to be. The Ouija board is a device which allows humans to communicate with spirits. You call forth spirits and ask them questions, and the spirits respond by causing the planchette to move about the board. The spirits who are summoned in this way are never good ones. Good spirits will not respond to this kind of summoning. Sometimes the spirits will be neutral in nature, and will simply play with you or behave mischieviously. Other spirits are more powerful than these, and they often have some limited information they may impart. But these spirits are always malevolent, and once summoned they will behave in frightening and often very dangerous ways. They may even take residence in the room or building in which they are summoned, or even in the participants themselves! Your parents are right to prevent you from using an Ouija board, or any other divination divice. If you try to use an Ouija board without knowing how to deal with malevolent spirits, you are asking for trouble. - LJS

My answer to this is yes, and I know because I have tried it with my friend every time we play, we are shocked to see the token move across with our fingers on it. We always ask each other whether we moved it or not and we know its not a joke, ouija board is real, and not something to be taken lightly for fear of attracting sinister harmful spirits, never play by yourself, always play with a friend less chance of encountering bad spirits that would want to harm you believe me.

No...A Ouija board doesn't work. Your parents are just superstitious. Such nonsense as "spirits" and "magic" have no real effect on the world.

to me it depends on the individual, if you tend to believe in it then you will most of the time lower your set goal to accept it as real. People tend to find what there looking for in things they believe in like exorcism's, some people have been exorcised by priest that cast the demons out with there "powers" one man dressed as a priest and performed an exorcism, the girl turned to normal and then the man revealed himself. The girl was horrified and shamed but it showed that rather from the perspective of the girl or fake priest that what you believe in will effect what you find. Me for an example, i don't believe in that board, but it all depends on your mind set.
