My eBay account was hacked and someone bought a Xbox360! How do I cancel this item.?

    This happened to me at the beginning of the week and it looks like someone used my e-mail address, got the password with one of these cracker programmes and then used that to get into Ebay and put up items for sal. Luckily someone asked me a question. Ebay were brilliant at stopping all the active auctions, contacting the seller and resetting the account - all within an hour. I contacted them via the online chat - you have to wait for a few minutes but it was certainly worth it. go to help in top left hand corner, contact us and put in 'someone using my account' into the question. That takes you to live chat.

contact the seller to explain your situation and ask him to accept " mutual agreement of cancelling trade" . if he is kind enought,he will do because he does not need to pay final value to ebay
