I really hope someone answers his question because the same exact thing just happend to me! I can't find the view, tool, etc. All is gone and I can't find it anywhere and I can't find the answers on-line. Someone, Please answer this. I had already went to the control panel and deleted all of the updates but that did not change a thing. I then started to look at the yahoo toolbar, again and I seen where it had a box named "tools". Under that I selected the "menu bar" and I got some of what I wanted back. I got the file, view, tool and help box back. Now, I would like to find out how do I get my original toolbar back with the same format I liked for so long.

You haven't lost your File, View, Tool menu bar. Your Yahoo! Toolbar is just on top of it. If you look over to the left of any of your toolbars, including the Yahoo! Toolbar, there should be 4 or so vertical dots. Click there to get a two-way directional arrow and you can drag your toolbar to where ever you want it at the top of the screen. If those dots aren't there, you have to go through an extra step. On any of your IE Toolbars,(IE Toolbar with Back Arrow, Forward Arrow and Refresh, Address Bar or Links) right click in an open area without any buttons. You'll get a drop down menu that has one of the options that says "Lock the Toolbars" If this has a check mark by it, It will remove the gray dots that allows you to drag and drop the toolbars. Once you remove this check mark, you'll be able to drag your toolbars to where ever you want at the top of the screen. You can move your Yahoo! Toolbar from on top of the File, Edit Menu Bar. Hope this helps.

Uninstall IE 7.0. I hated the new update, so I did the same thing. Just go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, find it in the list of programs, then click remove.
