How to hook up a sound system?

How do i hook a surround sound dvd system and xbox 360 up to my tv and have the sound come out when i play it?

  • no sound on the 360 when i hook up the surround sound but there is sound on the tv and dvd

    You have to go into a menu setting and activate the settings just once.... this is what i had to do... good luck ;)

run your RCA white and red into the DVD and the yello video into your tv..then run the sound off your DVD player.

so long as you have properly plugged in the inputs and outputs it should be playing sound. check into which channel you plugged your xbox's sound. if it is plugged into the tv, try plugging the xbox's sound directly into your surround receiver.

Try switching from the TV SAT, 5CH. INPUT, DVD, etc. channels on your surround system.
