How do I clear the recent searches in search mail and search web?

I want to delete the recent searches at top of yahoo mail.."Search Mail" and "Search Web"

hi , Yahoo Mail keeps a history of your last 50 searches. Up to 5 previous searches are displayed when performing a search. Click on a previous search result to perform that search. It's not possible to disable or clear the search history so u can write fake 50 words in search to clear your privacy search :)

I have the exact same problem. The searches are not stored on the browser. I have the exact same searches on Firefox and IE. I completely deleted FF and installed and the searches returned. I no longer use the yahoo search function since the list just gets longer.

No. That didn't work. Cleaned out everything in Browser and it still shows recent search I made in my Yahoo Mail.
