I have a Onkyo Integra A-809 Stereo Amp. Can i connect bose home theater speakers to this and the tv?

Bose use a great deal of custom equalization and power to make their tiny speakers work. But for a living room, the inability to produce high volumes is not an issue. But it means their drivers and electronics are a package that will not work well apart. It can be made to work but not well. Dr. Bose has a degree in marketing, not science or engineering and that is the route of his success. Bose speakers are not respected in the audiophile and professional audio community. It's a bit like Winnebago and sports cars.

What would you do with the rest of the speakers? You have a two channel amplifier, you can't get surround sound with that by simply buying more speakers. You need surround sound processing (preamp/processor) and you need at least five channels of amplification. Most mass market systems use an all in one device called an AVR (Audio Video Receiver) for this. Higher end systems use separate components. You can use some of the Bose home theater speaker products with an AVR typically connecting all the speaker wires to the "Bass Module" and then all the speakers connect to it. It has built in crossovers to block lower frequency from the little cube speakers. You would get better sound quality however by using almost any other compact speaker and separate subwoofer than you will get from Bose.
