What is the best way to connect to directv on demand?

Looking for the best way to connect DirecTV HD, Sony HDTV & DVD surround sound system?

    I assumed you would have already gotten lots of replies! HDMI is best. HDMI->DVI is second best, but you have to run audio cable too. Anything less is not going to give you the best hd. Since you want to run the audio to the sss, you probably want to connect using toslink(the digital audio) to the sss.

the least amount of connections are as follows if sat has digital coax PCM out. 1) HDMI from Sat to TV, 2)HDMI from DVD RECto TV 3) PCM from Sat to DVD REC shoud be good unless you use analog inputs on TV you'll need audio cables for that as well as video.
