Answer:
if its a sony it should incorperate "s-master digital amplification". if this is the case it is just a matter of going into the amps set-up menu and re-configuring your speaker set-up . for example turning down the volume of the subwoofer and raising the volume of the centre speaker etc-go round all of your speakers until the desired sound quality has been acheived.

Sounds like you have set-up your surround receiver incorrectly. Either when you set up you either told the receiver that there is no center speaker thus the lack of power to your center speaker. Or when setting up you told it it was playing louder than the other speakers and it has compensating for it. See if the center speaker setting is at a minus setting instead of being neutral or 0. Either one of these suggestions should take care of your problem.

If this has always been this way, then either a) you do not have a center speaker, but your receiver is set up as if there were one. b) you have a center speaker, and the receivers is set up for it, but no sound comes out of it. In case a), go into your receiver set up process, and tell it that there is no center speaker. In case b), check the connections and cable to your center speaker to make sure there is no disconnect or wires shorting together. If it used to work ok, but has recently changed, check to see if your center speaker is working, follow method for case b) Set your receiver to play test tones, and sound should come out of every speaker you have, and there should be no silences.

most normal dialogue comes from your center speaker.. turn that up, and, maybe turn the other ones down.

someone could have done some changes in your computer before you.....I suggest to go to the sound panel that is near the clock ....then, Find the option "reset" or something like that....I hope you have some good changes after this ....
