Can You get just a digital Freeview recorder?

How do I get my hdd/dvd recorder to pick up digital channels through my tv which has built-in freeview?

    Connect your LG's DTV out to the ext2 of the recorder. Switch the programme source on your recorder to SCART instead of antennae. You may find buying a cheap Freeview box (now under £20 from Asda or Tesco) the least hassle, and you can record a different channel from what you're watching.

set your dvd recorder to record the av channel which your tv is connected to, you can only record the channel you are watching though.

The only way, you are going to watch HD or tape HD programmes, is buying a HD box. (eg Sky HD?) There are other boxes on sale which can convert the HD signal, good luck.
