Why my dvd rw wont burn on dvd's?

I have been trying to burn dvds, it said buy dvd-rw, did, still cant burn them?

Burning most dvds are illegal unless it's for your own personal use, BUT most new DVD"s if not ALL, have a COPYRIGHT protection on them, so if you figure out how to get pass the copyright protection you better hope not to get caught because you can get aprox. 5-10 YEARS in jail.
