    That should be all there is to it, really. I'm assuming you have the TV switched onto the S-video input? On some TV's different inputs can be turned off, or hidden. Make sure you can get to whatever input you have the S-video plugged into. The series 2 Tivo boxes should work automatically with S-video, no settings to change first. About your additional details, make sure the cable from the wall is plugged into "cable in", and not "RF out". If that still doesn't work, make sure the cable from the wall is live, by plugging the cable from the wall straight to the TV.

Most likely you need to change the TV's input to the S-Video Screen, remember you will also need to run the Right and Left RCA Jacks for the Audio.

go into the tivo settings and adjust the input to s video then it will display your picture- i was doing this same thing myself have fun I love my series 2 DT
