We have a DVD recorder and you just put a blank DVD in and hit record. We bought ours at Walmart and love it!

Yes, you need a DVR or digital video recorder. Basically it is just a special DVD player. Available from any electronics store.

Get one of these for your laptop. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/StarTech.com+-+42%22+USB+2.0+S-Video+and+Composite+Video+Capture+Cable+with+Audio/9759585.p?id=1218265849231&skuId=9759585&st=usb%20composite%20video&cp=1&lp=2 This will allow you to record composite video from the player to your laptop. Then you take that video and make a DVD out of it. Use 640 by 480 resolution.
