There could be several problems. Firstly you may be experiencing modem overheat problems. If you turn the modem off and then wait a few minutes before turning on and it works this could well be the problem. If this is the case then do not leave the router on 24/7, turn it off while you are not using it. Another problem could be a channel conflict with nearby wireless systems. To change this you will need to go into the routers setting and change the channel from auto to a number between 1 and 11. If it is already on a number change it to the other side of the scale eg if it was on 10 set it at 2 and retry. You do not say what router you are using so I cannot give you more specific details. Have a look at the information that came with the router on how to do this.

i have the same problem with my router ,i have to reset it every few hours when 2 comps are connected but when i hook directly to my modem no problem

may be you have problems with your DNS servers, or your DNS client ?

Try connected and re-connecting your computer a couple more times. Maybe if you are using wireless you could be having problems with that? Also check your WLAN if you are on a laptop.
