Is the titan at Six Flags Over Texas scary?

Can some one help me with a question about The Titan at Six Flags over Texas?

  • You know the one in Arlington.Well this will be the biggest thing I have ever ridden(closest is the Texas Giant or Mr.Freeze.So I wanted to know what kind of restraints it has is it a ...show more

  • Answer:

In my opinion Mr. Freeze is much scarier than the Titan. The titan has lap bars, so as long as pull it tight enough (They check for you anyways), you should be fine. Remember these rides are designed to be safe, so the odds of anything happening are very, very slim.

It has a lap bar, no seat belts. It's contoured to fit around the top of your thighs, while tilted to rest against your abdomen area. So if you like your lap bars tight, this should feel real snug against you. This ride IS very tall, of course. But once you start moving (after the noisy lift hill), you'll be going too fast to realize how high up you are, at least until the mid-course brake and by then, you're already halfway back to the ground. Matter of fact, you're going too fast to be up all that high to begin with, as it easily tops out close to 90 mph at times, if the conditions are just right. It's a pretty enjoyable ride and what a rush for a first-time rider. I've been on many coasters, and still got wowed the first time I rode it. Have a good time, and ride again if you can. I guarantee you, by the time you hit that mid-course brake (you'll know it when it happens), you'll be wanting to ride it again.
