What are the best places I can visit in Vienna?

Can anyone recommend places to go and visit whilst in Vienna ?

    take a walk through the city center and you'll get to see a lot of the sights (opera, stephansdom, hofburg, ...) and also take the tramway around the ring (street surrounding the city center), there you'll see a lot more - nowadays you'll have to get from one tramway onto another or you buy a ticket for the ring tram, which goes all the way around the city center if the weather is good you can also go to the prater, a big amusement park or the donauinsel (danube island) where you can take a nice walk otherwise you could visit schönbrunn and the zoo, which is really worth seeing there are also a lot of nice museums, like the museum of natural history or the albertina... enjoy your stay!

for an half days trip you can take the train to the donauturm ,it's like a post office tower with revolving restaurant at top and bungee jumping to watch as you look across the city and donau (danube )river,also there is a huge park around it ...... the stephansdom (cathedral) in the city centre has a wonderful roof and you are able to take a lift to the top ..... also there are many street acts to watch
