Do you mean the best printer regardless of price or do you mean the best deal? Because right now the best deal is Samsung color laser CLP-300 for $80 at http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p16__200401_Business_Supplies_10051_true_SEARCH I have this printer and it's really nice. Toner cartridges are more expensive then inkjet cartridges ($70 for a set of 4 at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp ) but they last for about 2,000 pages.It does a nice job on photos.

I have an older HP LaserJet that has never given me a single problem. Not one paper jam, smear, crooked page printing. Nothing. It also prints about a thousand more pages per (expensive) cartridge than it promises. I'd buy another one without a moment's hesitation.
