I have an Epson printer and have used jet tec for years. Have you made sure that you have pressed the cartridges right into their slots. sounds silly but you need to press them down twice, once to get them into the slot then press again to bed them in. I have only had one "bad" set of cartridges and took them back to the shop and they replaced them. If you are really having problems then return them to the shop and get a refund or replacements.

As of March 2007, Epson (and the other manufacturers) won the legal right to make their printers refuse to work with compatible cartridges. They change each new printer to make it harder to use compatibles. Some manufacturers updated their chips to work. Others are selling old stock which wont work with the new printers. When buying compatibles make sure they will work with your model and that there is a money-back guarantee if they don't. I get cartridges for my Epson CX8400 from http://ccs-digital.com for $3. They have always worked for me but it's good to know there's a guarantee if they don't.

try take all cartridges out then put back making sure you hear a click occasionally the printer menu says there is an empty cartridge . press the cartridge in then turn printer off then back on. similar problems with my epsom . enjoy

Epsom printer inks are critical, you must use Epsom ink cartridges--then your printer will be ok.PS Epsom cartridges have a printed circut on the back and if the circut is wrong the printer don"t work.

Unfortunately Epson printers will only work with genuine ink cartridges. They are chipped to let the printer know it is a genuine ink cartridge, there is no way around this I am sorry to say.
