How to fix 'the print spooler service is not working' issue for HP C5380 printer?

You can try to fix it through your registry. It is not advisable to solve this problem in your own because it may harm your system. So, I suggest you consult your nearest technical support in order to fix it for you.

You need to switch off the printer, restart your PC or Mac. I have a HP printer with same problem. This happens every time when the test page comes out after, sudden power cut, change new cartridges, paper jam etc.......

Possibly a stupid question but have you tried re-cycling the Print Spooler service? Quickest way: Start > Run > type "cmd" (without quotes) Then in the Dos Prompt type: net stop spooler Wait for command to finish, then type: net start spooler
