When you install a printer it should have a download disk that comes with the printer so it can install it automatically!!!!

Go to printers and faxes and click add printer. In X-P this is above Start and in Vista in Control Panel.

No problem. You need to use an account with administrator privileges Start menu > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > scroll down until you see "Printer Spool" > right click it and choose "Start" > right click it again and choose "Properties" > select "Automatic" under type > Restart Computer.
What the...?!?
In Windows XP, Click on Start button...click on "Run" Type in Services.msc scroll down the list until you get to Print Spooler Highlight it and right click on it. Click on the option that says Start. You can also edit the properties so that this service starts everytime windows does. Hope this helps.
