I need help with connecting laptop to TV.

I am connecting a laptop to an older TV and need some help?

    first switch tv to the channel av ? press the Fn key plus the F5 key its easy to check the key as it has a blue square on it

On mine I have to got to the menu on the TV remote & set it to VGA.When I do this the TV immediately becomes a monitor & I watch movies from www.hulu.com

there should be a keyboard combo to get the lappy to output the screen to the vga port take a look at the BLUE keys on the keyboard - on my daughters there labeled as Fn and a blue box with a line in it !! if not try right clicking on the windows screen and select PROPERTIES ... SETTINGS ... ADVANCED .. GRAPHIC CARD SETTINGS .. depending on the graphic card there will be a option for multiple screens.

Toggle the display on your laptop. Depending on the model laptop, usually hitting the fn key and F4 (the key will have a display icon on it) will toggle between the LCD and an external display.
