Whoever told you about the driver is right. You graphics card is currently not installed more than likely. You need to either go to ATI or Nvidia's website and download the driver for your graphics card. You will not need to know the model, just the series that it is in.

Unfortnately, there are no Windows 7 specific drivers for your particular laptop listed on Dell's site. You can try the Windows Vista 32-bit drivers provided by Dell and see if those work. According to the Dell web site, your laptop has an AMD Radeon Xpress 1250 chip installed... but I could find no listing for that specific chipset on AMD's website.
