How do I keep my monitor from going to sleep?

How can I keep my monitor from going into sleep mode while watching a movie?

    ok so inorder to stop your pc from going to sleep you have to follow these steps. first press start then control panel then hardware and sound then power options then on the left side u wil see choose when to turn off display and then put never from the drop down menu and ur DONE!!!

You need to go to Power Options in Control Panel. You'll see an option to turn off monitor there. Change it from 30 min to "Never" or several hours. You can also change the time to turn off your hard drive there, if you wish.

Right click on your desktop-->select properties---->screen saver --> power (here you can see the option for sleep with some time setting, turn off that setting by selecting never)--> apply and ok
