Can you simply use Windex to clean a computer screen?

What can I use to clean my plasma screen for my computer?

  • I was wondering if it was okay to use windex for my plasma computer screen. Some people told me it was okay to use and others said it wasn't

    I have some very soft cotton cloth that I make a little bit damp with water. Don't spray anything onto the screen itself, spray it onto the cleaning cloth so you wont cause liquid to run inside the cabinet.

whatever you do DO NOT use windex on ur screen. the chemicals are way too harsh. When we bought our t.v. the Bestbuy rep. recommended Monster screenclean. It is safe alcohol-free and is ideal for cleaning LCD and Plasma T.V.s and of course monitors. It was $20 dollars at Best Buy and it comes with a microfiber towel. It has it's own website if you want to check it out monstercable.com and u can reorder from the site. Maybe u can research and find something similiar at walmart or target or Officemax for less. Til then don't use anything. It'll ruin the monitor.

i use a slightly damp soft fibr cloth 4 mine. i dont think its a really good idea 2 use windex. ive nevr used it, but i think its best 2 use a slightly damp cloth.

you can buy screen cleaning cloth from a electronics store. I use a static-free cloth and i moisten it just a little wit hwater.

i don't think it would be. Use a chamoise handkerchief or a special screen cleaner from a computer shop i.e PC World
