Why can't I duplicate laptop's screen to HdTv?

My laptops screen turns black and I cant back on unless i restart.?

    dont worry about it, it happens to me all the time! what you do is on the screen theres a power button... however click that! mu conputer is a samsung syncMaster191plus. but it could be diffrent for you.

Your computer monitor is on a timer to turn off when your computer is idle. The way to fix it is Goto 1."Start" 2. "Control Panel" 3."Appearance and Theme" 4."Choose a screen saver" 5. "Power" 6. "Turn off monitor ": Change this to "Never"

This happens to my desktop, I never have to cut it off, once I moved the mouse around and wait a minute it comes back, I believe its still in time out and you have to give it a chance to set back up. Try moving the mouse and waiting before you do anything else.

try to start it in safe mode. then let the saver come on and see if you have the same issue. it may be a virus but its not positive

Are you making sure that the fan on the laptop (usually somewhere on the bottom of the laptop) isn't completely covered? Try keeping your laptop propped up on something, so that the fan is exposed. It may just be overheating.

your windows is broken i suggest u save all your important data and reinstall the system ,it happened to me and nothing worked until i reinstalled my windows

mac or pc? this happens on my mac powerbook and i have to hit the on/off button to get it back, but it doesn't power back up, it's like it just comes back from hibernating. (ck those settings.)
