Why does my laptop get so hot?

Some laptops are not designed to flush out the hot air to out easily.....buy a laptop cooler for laptop. put it under ur laptop..that will help ur laptop to colldown.

Did you check the fan and all the cooling grids for being clean without any dust preventing the system to cool down ? Check also the power management scheme; on a laptop you can usually choose between, battery saving, best performance and similar. If it is set to best performance the cpu will run at maximum speed and this could be a reason for the laptop to warm.

Laptops usually get hot because their compact design usually permits very less air inside. Moreover the fans also are not much dedicated or say as sturdy as those of desktops.So you can solve this problem buy buying a laptop cooler. Or if you cannot afford that, you can also use old wooden board under the laptop to give it some gap and provide some air circulation.

I have my laptop on all day, what you need to do is elevate it, so the air circulates underneath to keep it cool, PS i have the same one, I have mine sitting on a couple of cigarette packs right now LOL

Laptops do that, especially if the vents are covered etc. i bought one of the bases a few here have spoken about. It plugs into a spare USB for power and has 3 fans in it that keep my laptop nice and cool. It was about a fiver off ebay! Bargain.

Make sure there is nothing around it to block air.

because it mater how long you have on your laptop so you shoud take a break from you laptop

This is not an easy fix. Your laptop runs hot period. You should call the manufacturer and complain.

every laptop does that, especially if its old. but its just cause its working. just let it rest
