If you want the best laptop on the market write down what you want from it. From your first computer, what were some of the things you wish you had more of on it? Then go down to your super geek computer store and tell them what you want. Remember it may be costly to get the best but it will last a long time. Technology is always changing and there are always new programs available that computers will need to upgrade to. I have a Gateway laptop computer. Bill Gates owns the company. Some Sony Vaio's have Blue-ray burners on it. If you like gaming check out the video card on it G force is good. I would get one with a TDK drive that burns DVD +R/-R Dual layer and CD's, the Windows Vista operating system, 200 GB hard drive, the latest processing chip and the highest Mhz, Wide screen true brite 17" with a built in web cam and ethernet card for wireless access to the internet, at least 4 (2.0 USB ports), memory card slots a touch screen and 10 key pad. lenovo is the best. hardware is good. get one of the y series.check out sony vaio but the problem with sony is that if any problem comes up, u can't get it fixed by anyone other than those at the service center znd those people charge and exhorbitant amount for fixing just a tiny glitch. don't go for hp. there are sometimes problems with the cd drive and plug and play devices.

I recommend Dell laptops, good performance, low price. 1- Latitude for business purpose 2- Inspiron for home purpose 3- XPS for gaming

apple products are for the rich and their products are scams. panasonic toughbook is the best period. you can get consumer versions as well a commercial versions. you can step on it and use it for a wheel chalk and will not break.

hp is the most popular laptop n is the best of course.

Dell, Acer,..There's no exact limit that which is the best, but it depends how much is your budget
