Whats so bad about the mini laptops (netbooks or whatever their called)?

*underpowered *not much hdd space *hard to type on *easy to break *cheap *rarely a built-in optical drive *usually 3rd party software and os *lot more

There made to go online and edit documents, not to (edit photos, create cad drawings, play games, etc.). Spend a few more dollars and buy a real laptop 12" or bigger

Theyre small and they are designed to surf the web and thats it. You cant run many things at once because they have like 512 MB of RAM and like a 500 Mhz processor. You cant really do anything, but surf the web. Its okay for the extremly casual user but not someone who does something with their PC.

They lack the muscle, or computing power, of a traditional laptop. If you need just a system that checks email and browses the internet, and not much else, its actually a good choice for a system.

I dont think there is anything bad about them. I want one of those. I mean you cant hold as much stuff as a bigger one could but I dont think there is anything bad about them

nothing, if you can get used to the same screen and not as big keyboard you are fine. i can get used to it. i'm going to get one

They are not very powerful. If all you want to do is use the internet, email, and microsoft office they are perfectly fine. I have one and absolutley love it.
