Mac It will last twice as long, keep its speed 5 times as long, battery will last twice as long. And it will be very durable for school while PC laptops monitors brackets fail easily depending on how much weight you put on your laptop, how badly it gets squished in your back pack, or how you hold it.

Buy a Dell notebook if you are college student. Cheap and dependable. Plus there are tons of software for the PC users. Compare to few softwares for mac users.

I would recommend going with Mac because the Mac comes with IOS. I also comes with a lot of programs like iPhoto ,Quicktime, Garage Band ,iTunes much more If you are tight and much more on money then I would go with the PC I would say a PC give you a lot more freedom if you know what I mean The bad thing about PC is you have to buy all the programs and it does not come with that many

I would go with a PC. Most professors require you to submit assignments in Microsoft formats (Word, Excel, etc.) and PC's are more compatible with that.

Either is fine for typing papers and surfing porn. Go for the cheapest no one else on here is giving you money for it

Unless your course implicitly requires a mac, you will be better off buying a windows computer. Bear in mind though, that you can load both Windows and Apple OSX onto an Apple computer. Apple also provides a discount for student purchases (Around 10%, depending on your country)

Well if your going to need to save money for college, i would vote PC. Macs are rather expensive for the job they do. If you need to transfer work between computers in college im sure most of the computers would be PCs. Since macs use pages as a word proccessor, it may be a hassle to transfer work. While macs are nice to work on and may feel comfortable, with most apple products i feel that you pay for the brand rather than the product.

I prefer PC

I'd go for the PC. The PC is simple, uncomplicated and not really dodgy unlike the MAC.
