So I studied in Dublin and Paris and to study in France for costs I would say: - Rent in Paris or somewhere else will be vastly different, so if you do not want to spend too much go study abroad in another city in France; Grenoble, Montpellier and Toulouse for instance are really fun cities with a high proportion of students. If you decide to go for Paris, rent will be 600 euros /month on average (if you are lucky you may find a nice place for 500-550 but that will be the minimum at least). - Food here is not too expensive and transport in Paris will cost you about 26 euros a month to get unlimited travel within Paris..you could also just use the free public bicycles (the velib) and that will cost you just a one off 25euros for the year. Basically you are looking at (550+ rent and 500 in expenditures monthly) so a budget of 1100 a month to study abroad in Paris (but you can get the French state to pay part of your rent if you stay a whole year on exchange they cover about a third of your rent thanks to 'la CAF'). If you do not study in Paris, you might be able to lower this monthly budget to 850-900 euros a month. I would recommend one of those three towns (toulouse etc) - I think they would be ideal to go study abroad! If you want to hear foreign students that studied abroad in Paris, I would recommend checking this website http://globaliseme.com/Globalise_Me.html They have videos on Paris / the french / the culture etc with interviews of foreign students and their experience Hope this helps!

It really depends on the program, and how long you would like to stay there for. In the fall, I hope to be traveling to France with CCI exchange for 3 months, and that will be around $8000, but I believe for programs like Rotary, it is much cheaper.
