you would need to do community college for 2 years then transfer to a university. community college accepts pretty much anyone, you just have to pay and take a few placement test.

Most junior colleges or community colleges do not have dorms. You would have to find your own housing. It really would not be worth coming over here to go to a two year CC. I don't know if a student visa would cover going to a CC and not a four year college. To get a Bachelor degree you would have to transfer to a four year college and finish up your degree.

Yes, I believe a community college is the way for you to go. Attend for 2 years, and then transfer to a university.
