What's with Geico's weird commercials?

I am filming some commercials that will be shown online...whats a good camera to use?

  Go with something from pansonic's higher-end pv-gs series. They are 3ccd cams, and provide great quality and manual functions for a low price. The pv-gs500 is a good camera, although if you find a gs400 on eBay or somewhere, get that, as it has more manual functions than the gs500. Even though it's only for internet, starting with better quality will lend better quality results, even if the compression is horrible. Another thought is to get an HDV camera. This might not make sense, but considering how difficult it is to make hi-def DVDs (blu-ray preferably), the web is actually a better output for HD because you can scale it down, and if your website is up to it, offer an HD version as well. driverTV.com is one example of how the web is offering HD. A lot of info on web and mini-format production I got was from creativecow.net's magazine. Check out their website for more help, and you might be able to get a PDF version of their magazine.
