Can anybody recommend a good camcorder at a good price?

Any of the JVC Everio series, I have 3 camcorders but the JVC is the best of the bunch.

It will be hard finding a camera that has "amazing" vidoe, sound, and zoom that's under $300. But I do recommend that you do buy a minidv camera, because it has the least amount of data loss and compression as other formats (such as DVD and the hard drive cameras). I would probably just recommend the ZR900 from Canon.

try the video that uses mini dv ,because the cameras using dvd are nightmare
