Consult burner documentation for this information 2.Insert the disc into your burner. When you close the tray, the AutoPlay dialogue appears. If it does not, click the "Start" button, choose "Computer" and then double-click the burner icon. 3.Select "Burn Files to Disc using Windows Explorer" to show the "Burn a Disc" dialog. Enter a disc title and then choose one of the following before clicking "Next": "Like a USB Flash Drive:" This burn files immediately and is useful for keeping the DVD in the drive. You can either transfer or delete files as needed. However, your disc is compatible only with versions of Windows from XP and later. For Vista, no choices are needed. Clicking "Next" chooses this option by default. "With a CD/DVD Player:" Drag a collection of files to a DVD, which you can then burn in a separate process. The disc becomes compatible with nearly everything including stand-alone media players. However, you can only delete all the files and not individual ones. For Vista, click "Show Formatting options" and then choose "Mastered" before clicking "Next." 4.Find the video file you want to copy and click to select it. To select several files at once, press the "Control" key and click on the ones you want. Drag your choices to the DVD folder and one of the following happens depending on what you chose earlier: 5.For "Like a USB Flash Drive," files automatically burn into the disc when dragged. However, to make the DVD usable, close the session by either ejecting the disc or choosing "Close Session" from the DVD toolbar. For "With a CD/DVD Player," to burn the files to disc, click "Burn to Disc" on the DVD toolbar and follow the Wizard. The disc tray opens after the files are completed. 6. Easiest way to do this, use a VCR hooked to either a DVR or a DVD recorder. Then once transferred, if using a DVR, simple transfer your footage to a Computer, get an External hard drive and transfer the footage to that. If using a DVD recorder, half the battle is won, but if you want it on your Computer, use a good Quality Video Converter Program to lift the files off of the DVD - http://asimplelife.ca/dazzle.html
