Can I play 1080p video?

My screen zooms in when i play 1080p video and I can't read the subtitles?

    Are you trying to watch videos on a computer monitor? My guess is you don't have a widescreen monitor, so the zoom is to prevent resorting to letterboxed display.

You didn't say which model 46" Bravia, but i found a discussion of this issue and it may be your solution. Here's the pertinent part, suggesting it's not a setting on the PC but on the TV: "In the 'Screen' settings on the Bravia, there is an option called 'Auto Display Area' – it was previously set to 'On'. Turning this off and changing the next option 'Display Area' to 'Full Pixel' made the desktop actually fit the screen."
