unless you have some expensive converter software you will loose some quality, It may not be much though. I use media-conveter(.)org its pretty good and doesnt reduce the quality that much.

.vob is a part of the file system used on a dvd , you will need to convert these but remember the format will need to be converted to the same bit rate , use xilisoft video converter , this will convert them fine . the scenes missing will be from the files not being included , arrange the disc vob files so that they will all be in the right order
