What HD camcorders are compatible with Mac?

Which of the 2 camcorders do you recommend (sony vs JVC)?

  If you want a camera that is easy to edit then dump the idea of HDD or media card cameras. Unless you have a high end computer, as the video requires every bit of processing power you computer has. On a trip like that you want to have the highest quality, reducing the amount of video you can get on your camera unless you take a laptop. Both the HDD and media card camcorders, compress the video (that's how you can get so much on a HDD. compression = reduced quality. but out of the HDD and Media card then I would go for Media card. HDD suffer badly if you are in a changing environment, temp is one thing also vibration is another. causing the heads to park themselves. At the end of the day its your choice, have a great time RR
