What camera is better for videos for youtube?

To be honest if you want a video camera then get one, not a stills camera that plays at being a video camera, sure people get reasonable results but they do not have the designed feature of a video camera. The video formats of many of the stills cameras are so compressed the end results after editing, (if you can edit the video without converting) remember that Youtube re compress your videos, so the end quality is not that good, unless you have the ability to render/convert your own videos, its very hit and miss. If you are going to mainly take stills then go for a stills camera, but you asked for a video camera. I would be looking at Flash drive cameras (camcorders) depending on how much you want to spend, will depend on what you get, Hard drive cameras are expensive and to be honest people are having problems with the drives as they do not like the rough treatment they get. if the drive goes down then you have lost all the stuff you had on the camera unless you have the money to get it recovered. i would suggest you get a flip video camera.they are the best. they are usually $129 but if you look around you can get them for $99. try overstock.com

Forget the flip & go for a JVC.
