How do u change the size of my icons?

How do i change back the size of my screen...the icons and words are way too big?

  • last night my nephew was playing a game and now my icons and words are bigger than they used to be, i did system restore but that didn't help.

  • Answer:

If you're on Windows XP, just right click the desktop and click preferences. The display properties window will open. Click on the settings tabs and select your screen size. If you're on a mac, open the control panel and select displays. Same thing. Hope this helps!

Right click somewhere blank on your desktop (The main screen) In the menu that pops up, click Properties. You will see there is a tab along the top called Settings. Click this. Change Color Quality to HIGHEST You will probably notice that the Screen Resolution is set to either 640x480 or 800x600 Most people have their screen resolution 1024x768. If it is already set to 800x600, change it to 1024x768. If it is set to 640x480, change it to 800x600. If it still doesnt look right, keep moving the slider up until it looks right. (You need to click apply to make the new size take effect. If it asks to restart, tell it not to.)

On you desktop in an empty area, do a right click and select Properties from the drop down list. Sellect the Setting Tab. Move the slider to the right until the setting "800x600 appears." If you want an even higher resolution, continue to move the slider to the right. Click on "OK" and follow any other prompts that may appear

Take your mouse and right click it while on the desktop (no programs running). Scroll down and select PROPERTIES. Hit the SETTINGS tab and you will see a box that says "screen resolution" with a bar you can move up or down. By moving that bar up or down you will see a visual of how the screen will change. When you are satisfied with a setting click the OK button. the screen will change to the resolution you picked. Then a box will pop up and say "your desktop has been reconfigured. Do you want to keep these settings?" If you like them you MUST click yes, otherwise the screen will configure back to the old setting. If you don't like it, click NO and start over until you find a setting you like.

well, to change to font size: go online, go to "VIEW" scroll down to "TEXT SIZE" and then choose the size. It's strange that the system restore doesn't work... It normally does.

Try going up to "view" on your brower. On the drop down menu go to Text and put your cursor on that. Then choose a smaller size of font. Otherwise, check the manual for your operating system. What do you have? Windows ME? XP?
