if you dont change your focus from the screen to out to the room, out a window or looking up at another person and back to the screen frequently, you are straining your eyes and then also your neck and shoulders too, esp if you hunch over to see better. as you get older it your ability to focus from near to far gets stiffer and becomes fixed. there are special occupational lenses that work sometimes as they help the eyes to rest. but moving around and looking away from screen is most important.

If others also have problems when "your" computer is on, there's a good chance that's the culprit. See some good suggestions for you try though, and if that don't work get the eyes checked.

Yes. But it's to do with eye strain from looking at the screen for too long. Your supposed to take 5 minutes in every hour away from them. If people have been having them while you have been there, you might be the cause of it. A virus or a head cold could produce that symptom. The only other non-viral related cause is a possible burning of something within the PC, which is emitting a toxic gas. Why don't you ask one of the IT staff to give your PC theonce over to check.

Yes! I have this problem also and I changed the brightness and contrast on my monitor. It helped. Less contrast is best. I work with a light on in the office as well. Rest your eyes (stay off Answers for a while! LOL) and make sure your chair and keyboard are placed so you don't put too much strain on your shoulders, upper back and neck...those muscles, when they stiffen up, contribute to headaches, too.

yeah starring at the screen can really do that....sometimes even bring on some severe migranes try upping the refresh signal for the monitor setting....this can help a lot especially if you get some minor flickering to begin with. (don't set it any higher than the monitor can handle or you'll get no output at all....you might get higher refresh signals available with lower resolutions though)

Weird! could be stress as well, try asking for another computer though, white noise could be escaping or something!!

Could be eye strain or not getting up often and moving about every two hours.

there are studies which show that extended useage of a computer can cause headaches due to the fact you are staring at a crt monitor, which "flickers" constantly and thus causes your eyes to be constantly adjusting for the changes in light and color......if possible, its better to use either an lcd screen or at the very least an antiglare screen over your monitor to cut down on the changes your eyes have to make for the various screens you are viewing. Simpler solutions are to adjust the angle at which you view the screen either by changing your seat height or the angle of the monitor itself, you should also look away from the screen as often as possible to allow for your eyes to "relax".

yes it is possible . Please check ur eyesite
