Is there any way to convert wav files into mp3 files?

There are various software packages to do this, most of them better than iTunes.

yea i guess u should use limewire it rockz for me i can get free songs and stuff to my ipod even with out using itunes i wont have to pay or anything u can download limewire for free or buy the premium which u dont have to i use basics which is better or u can use bearshare which also have to be downloaded which is more safer because it is used by google :)
