Insert Key

You probably hit the insert key by accident. Now press it again.

As people have said, somehow you have gone into overtype mode instead of insert mode where text that is there already moves up to create space for additional text you want to insert. You have probably clicked on the insert key which is placed by the delete key, instead of delete. The telltale sign also is to read your status bar. So many people use computers without realising how much is going on around the task bar and status bar telling you what is happening. You should have the letters ovr in grey but if it turns to black it means you have gone into overtype mode and double clicking on it will return to insert mode - another way rather than using insert key.

you probably simply have the 'Ins' key on, which means when you go back to change a sentence it replaces the letters after eg. hey thre Ins key on: hey thee Ins key off: hey there it inserts the new letters whilst deleting the letters that come after depending on how many letters you're putting in all you gotta do is press Ins again and it should be fixed.

If I understand you correctly, press "Insert" on the keyboard, and it shouldn't happen.

o i hate dat too what i do is do the arrows then delete then i restart thee comp
