Basically yes. The iPhone right now (for Apple decision) cannot send pictures/files via Bluetooth. The only way to do it is either sending an email (you can always send an email to yourself and check it online at your friend's computer so that you can download it) or getting a file sharing application from the Apps Store, that way you can get the file to your friend's computer through Wi-Fi.

did you send using bluetooth, try that way i think both should have bluetooth facility or copy from your iphone to your computer and then transfer into the cell phone. Hope this helps.
