Can I use my blackberry 9800 torch as a wifi hotspot for blackberry playbook?

    you can use the blackberry bridge app to connect your playbook to your torch, however the drawback is that blackberry playbook apps are few and far between. you can use the Nexus 7 anywhere within range of a WiFi hotspot (they are all over the world) and can operate many apps and games when not within range of hotspot. EDIT: as for k_a_s_m_i_t_h, the development by most other companies for playbook apps are on hold, since rumors are the company will either sell out, go out of business or switch to a Windows OS.

Not sure if you can do it because 9800 isn't os 7. You need 9810

I don't think the 9800 has hotspot on it. Even thou you do have hotspot on your blackberry it will charge you data. My suggestion is getting the android than the bb. It your choice.
