My daughters turning 15 and is getting a new phone. she really wants the blackberry storm is it worth it?

You will have to subscribe to the Blackberry service for you to fully utilise the phone's function. Normally, blackberry is being used for receiving and sending emails. Usually used by corporate individuals. It has a messenger function as well which you can communicate with friends with blackberry phone for free. You daughter is only 15, don't think she needs to reply to emails urgently. For the subscription, i think S$30++ for limited usuage and S$60++ for unlimited usuage on top of the normal subscription that you need to pay. My advice is don't buy it for your daughter. Its a waste of money as she won't be fully utilising the phone's function.

I am sixteen and the storm is a really cool phone. I do think you have to pay the $35 because its not just for internet. I have Verizon and I am on a family plan with my parents I get1,000 outgoing text messages for $10 a month. If your daughter is responsible and will use all the advantages of a Blackberry such as AIM, Mobile e-mail, and etc then yes it is worth getting the phone for her! But she could also look into the blackberry pearl, the Voyager, the Dare, and the Glyde. These are all great phones. Hope this helped!!!!
